The Fraser Island – Tag-along 3 days experience involves 4 vehicles on a 4×4 adventure on K’gari Fraser Island.
The lead vehicle also , driven by an experienced guide, seats up to 10 guests while the other 3 vehicles can seat up to 8 people each and are driven by travelers. It’s the perfect choice for groups after their own freedom but still wanting to learn about the famous island and how to handle a four-wheel-drive safely.
Furthermore Solo travelers will be part of the group in no time and meet heaps of new mates in their or the other vehicles. Regardless of which vehicle you travel in, the driving is mixed around, giving you the opportunity to experience the thrill of four-wheel-driving on a sandy beach.
**This tour can also be purchased with extra nights at Hostel In Rainbow Beach to be used before and after the tour for Fraser Island.

Tag Along Tours 3 days
Everyone must attend an orientation meeting the day before departure at 3:30pm in Hostel.
- Also cancellations and changes are NOT permitted within 72 hours of arrival date at Hostel.
- Furthermore to drive on Fraser you MUST be 18 or over with a FULL manual license. You must have held this license for a minimum of 1 year and you must have the license with you. If you do not meet these requirements you may still travel on the tour but will not be able to drive.
Itinerary – Tag Along Tours 3 days
Briefing at Hostel 4.30pm on the day before departure: The comprehensive briefing on the day before your tour will provide info to prepare you for this exciting journey.
Here you will be placed into groups and have the opportunity to organize sleeping bag hire and special dietary requirements if required. You will also be taught how to drive safely on Fraser Island.
Tag Along Tours 3 days
1 st Day Fraser Island: 7.45am– Morning brief: also we cover the following: Packing cars, check equipment, safety, and driver brief. 9.30am Depart for the Island, approx. 10 minute drive to the barge, approx. 10 minute barge crossing.1 hour drive to the Eurong resort.
when you are also there you can grab a coffee and chocolate croissant (own cost) From here we drive to Lake McKenzie, have some lunch, spend some time here having a play. 3pm drive up the beach to the campsite, early dinner and drinks.
2 nd Day Fraser Island: Also Breakfast, then head off for the day to see the following. Eli creek, Maheno shipwreck, Indian head, champagne pools. Lunch at either the shipwreck or champagne pools. Whichever is safest and most beautiful at the time. Back to camp for dinner and drinks. Another Adventure.
3 rd Day Fraser Island: Also Breakfast, take down camp. Drive to the beginning of the Lake Wabby walk. Have lunch. Then cruise down the beach heading back to the barge. Head back to the 4WD shed where you unpack and sweep the cars. Return to the hostel between 3pm and 4pm.
